Epson Perfection 3200 Photo wins EISA Award
07 August 2003 - Epson announced today that its Perfection 3200 Photo scanner has won the EISA European Scanner of the Year 2003-2004 award. The scanner was selected by a panel of judges and beat stiff competition from leading scanner manufacturers. This latest achievement is a testament to Epson's success at the annual awards and further strengthens the company's position as a print and imaging market leader.
The Perfection 3200 Photo is the world's first consumer flatbed scanner to offer an optical resolution of 3200 x 6400dpi, producing excellent results from both paper and transparent media. Featuring a built-in 4"x9" Transparency Unit and a custom developed ASIC for high-speed film scans, the scanner is the ideal solution for photo enthusiasts and professional photographers. The scanner's high resolution enables negatives to be printed at up to A3 size and its powerful USB 2.0 Hi-Speed and IEEE1394(FireWire) interfaces ensure scans are fast and accurate. And with theinclusion of the powerful SilverFast SE 6 software, users are also able toget the most from the scanner regardless of their level of scanningexperience.

The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), which draws membership from 40 leading magazines in 19 countries, presents awards annually to recognise the very best in photo, video, audio, and home theatre innovation. The awards are selected by a panel comprising of Editors-in- Chief and Technical Editors from major photo magazines in 16 countries. Previously Epson products have won numerous EISA awards in the projector, scanner, and 6-colour inkjet categories.
