05 August 2003 - Eastman Kodak Company today announced its highest resolution EasyShare digital camera, combining award-winning ease-of-use with 5 megapixel resolution suitable for making prints up to 20 x 30 inches. At a suggested retail price of £299.99, the Kodak EasyShare DX4530 camera is ideal for digital photographers who want a high-resolution, point-and-shoot camera to take and share crisp, clear pictures. It will be available worldwide beginning this month.

The Kodak EasyShare DX4530 zoom digital camera features a 3X optical Kodak Retinar all-glass a spherical lens, 3.3X advanced digital zoom and Kodak Colour Science technology for unsurpassed image quality, which combine to provide stunning prints from wallet-size to poster-size. The EasyShare DX4530 digital camera features a fully automatic mode, as well as sport, night, close-up, and landscape modes. It also comes with 32 MB of internal memory, plus a MultiMediaCard/SD Card memory expansion slot.
With a large 1.8-inch high-resolution indoor/outdoor LCD screen, the Kodak EasyShare DX4530 camera is equipped for on-camera viewing and sharing in almost any picture-taking situation. The camera also offers an automatic picture rotation feature that makes pictures taken vertically appear right side up on the camera, computer or television. In addition, the camera is always ready to snap a picture by depressing the shutter button, regardless of what mode or menu may currently be active. The Kodak EasyShare system helps people share their digital pictures in a snap. A press of the DX4530 camera's red-jeweled "Share" button allows a person to immediately select photos for later printing and e-mailing. Additional features include a thumb control for easy selection of intuitive menu options and the ability to record up to 60 minutes of continuous video with audio.
People can also quickly transfer their pictures to a connected computer with just one touch using the optional Kodak EasyShare camera dock II (£59.99). The dock also provides a full Ni-MH battery charge for the camera in less than three hours. DX4530 digital camera owners can also receive all the benefits of a dock, plus water-resistant Kodak 4 x 6-inchpictures in as little as 90 seconds, when using the Kodak EasyShare printer dock 4000 (£199.99). Both docks are now available.
Like the entire range of EasyShare cameras, the DX4530 includes Kodak EasyShare software for Windows and Macintosh systems, providing effortless digital picture transfer, organisation, editing, e-mailing, sharing and printing. The software's exclusive One Touch to Better Pictures feature - which takes advantage of proprietary colour technologies developed by Kodak - helps Windows OS users get vibrant, true-to-life prints from home inkjet printers, while reducing the trial, error and waste usually associated with home photo printing.
