Release Issued by Fujifilm:

New Fujifilm ''GetPix'' Photo Centers to Expand Retail Digital Photo processing Market

VALHALLA, N.Y.--July 26, 2005-- Modular Kiosk Solutions Will Bring Additional Retailers into the Market, While Expanding Revenue-Generating Opportunities for Retailers Currently Offering Digital Processing Services

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., is redefining digital photo developing at retail with a new line of digital photo kiosk solutions. The company's GetPix(TM) Photo Centers, designed in response to demands for more options and flexibility to help retailers grow their photo developing businesses, are expected to extend the market beyond traditional retailer outlets. Now a broader spectrum of retail environments can tap into the exploding digital photo printing market because of Fujifilm's customizable components that offer on-site printing options to meet each retailer's needs.

Fujifilm remains deeply committed to helping its valued retail customers serve the burgeoning needs of today's consumers, who are increasingly seeking quality digital prints from their retailers. Based on extensive input from a variety of customers, Fujifilm's new line of digital photo kiosks were designed to keep the cost of entry low, while providing scalable solutions to fit the varied needs of different kinds of retailers.

With recent reports indicating strong growth in retail printing, the Fujifilm GetPix Photo Centers are expected to help expand the retail market by enabling new entrants to profit from this growing industry. According to PMA, "the volume of prints made at home slowed in the fourth quarter of 2004 and in 2005 has remained relatively flat. For the month of March, home print

volume only grew one percent, meanwhile the number of digital prints made at retail grew 106 percent."

"As digital camera users increasingly choose retail printing over home printing, there is tremendous opportunity for a broad range of retailers to enter the market and profit from the massive revenue potential of providing digital prints," says Gael Lundeen, Vice President and General Manager, Photofinishing and Web Services Division, Fujifilm Imaging Group.

"Fujifilm's strategy is to take a modular approach to serving our customers, by developing highly customizable components and then matching the right kiosks, printers and online solutions to fit an individual retailer's needs and ROI requirements. This will allow new customers to get into the game in a small and affordable way, and later upgrade as their business grows. At the same time, retail customers who are already offering digital printing services will have exciting new opportunities to grow and add profits from digital imaging."

Unique Design
The five kiosk configurations feature an intuitive and tilting touch screen terminal. In addition, the GetPix Photo Centers' unique media drive design, called "Intelligent Media Inserts," minimizes retailers' total cost of ownership. Designed by a team of IBM and Fujifilm industrial engineers and ergonomic specialists, Intelligent Media Inserts can be easily replaced by retailers, allowing for cost-effective expandability and maintenance, particularly as new storage media formats become available. The media slots, clearly visible and distinguishable from one another, accept the widest range of digital storage media - from standard drives to DVDs and even mini-CDs.
