Shutterfly announces second quarter results
Shutterfly Continues to Double Revenues & Achieves Fourth Consecutive Quarter of Profitability Total Revenues Increase 103 Percent Year-Over-Year
REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/21/2003 -- Shutterfly, the leading online photo service, announced results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2003.
Shutterfly posted a 103 percent gain in revenue for the second quarter of 2003 over the same period last year, realizing profitability for the fourth consecutive quarter on an EBITDA basis. Uploaded digital photo images for new and existing customers increased 155 percent.
Shutterfly milestones from the second quarter include:
- Accelerated member acquisition rate 21 percent this quarter,
improving our leadership position
- Introduced new line of large-format prints including 11x14,
16x20 and 20x30
- Launched Shutterfly ExpressT 3.0 software to simplify the
customer's experience by helping them work more efficiently
offline; for example, when creating an order
- Named "Editor's Choice" by Computer Shopper in May
