Simple Beginnings, 1888
The Kodak legend began when founder George Eastman created push-button photography in 1888. Armed with simple, pre-loaded, point and shoot cameras, everyday folks could capture everyday moments. With this invention, technology forever altered photography, and Kodak established its hallmark easy-to-use camera systems that made taking and sharing pictures appealing and accessible to all. The popular slogan, “You press the button, we do the rest,” was born.

Dawn of Digital, 1975 - 2004
Kodak developed the world’s first digital camera in 1975, but it was not until 1995 that the technology became widely available to consumers with its groundbreaking DC40 camera. This trailblazing innovation paved the way for the digital camera phenomenon that has resulted in more than 40 percent of American households owning at least one digital camera by the end of 2004 (InfoTrends, 2004).

In 2001, the Kodak EasyShare consumer digital photography system was unveiled, the first to make transferring images directly to one’s computer and recharging the camera battery one-button simple, thanks to its innovative dock. This was followed in 2003 with the EasyShare Printer Dock, which made real Kodak prints with the single press of a button, and which quickly became the best-selling snapshot printer brand in the United States and United Kingdom. Kodak EasyShare products moved digital photography to the mainstream, once again made taking and sharing pictures accessible to all.

Point and Share, 2005 and Beyond
A decade after DC40 revolutionized the consumer photography world, the Kodak EasyShare-One camera — the first digital camera made as much for sharing photos as taking them — redefines digital photography. With its unprecedented picture-sharing possibilities, the Kodak EasyShare-One camera establishes the point-and-share era, where sharing pictures is as effortless as taking them:
• Wireless E-mail: Send pictures to friends around the globe, directly from the camera via Wi-Fi.
• Wireless Printing: EasyShare-One allows for wireless printing to your computer or compatible photo printer, such as the EasyShare Printer Dock Plus with the Kodak Wi-Fi card.
• Unprecedented Viewing: View and share 1,500 favourite pictures stored in your camera on the 3-inch, touch screen LCD. Organize by graphical date and custom album features. View thousands more pictures within your online albums at Kodak EasyShare Gallery (formerly Ofoto), accessible right on the camera via Wi-Fi.

More information on the Kodak EasyShare system is available at www.kodak.com/go/EasyShare.
