Release Issued by Jessops:
Super-Speed Instant Photo Printing Hits The High Street
The fastest instant photo printing kiosk in Europe has hit the UK high street thanks to Jessops.
The UK’s leading photographic retailer has launched a new high-speed in-store instant printing kiosk, offering prints from digital images in an average of 3.25 seconds each – meaning that a set of 40 prints can be completed in under two-and-a-half minutes.
The new Jessops photoexpress high-speed machines are being installed at 39 Jessops stores across the UK, and use simple touch-screen technology to deliver photographic-quality, fade resistant and splashproof 6”x4” prints that are immediately dry to touch.
All popular forms of memory card and disc are accepted, and the kiosk is Bluetooth compatible, enabling the fast-growing number of camera phone owners to use the exciting new printing facility.
Payment is made at the machine, which accepts all major credit and debit cards. Prints cost 30p each, with a minimum order value of £1.
Should the first phase of installation prove successful, Jessops plans to roll out the instant printing kiosks into more of the company’s 260 stores nationwide, as well as non-store venues, including shopping centres and theme parks.
The move comes as Jessops installs a further seven standard instant printing kiosks in stores across the country, offering the same easy-to-use touch-screen system and high-quality 6”x4” prints in an average time of 6.5 seconds per print.
“This is an exciting launch in the photographic market, specifically designed to satisfy the increasing number of business and personal customers who want to get their prints immediately – without having to come back in an hour,” said Fiona Howard, Head of Developing and Printing at Jessops.
“These customers generally print a smaller quantity, but more often - so they will appreciate the added convenience offered by the fast new kiosk service.
“Both kiosks produce the most popular print size of 6”x4”, are easy-to-use and, with speedy processing times, there's no need to queue.”
