The award -winning SilverFast has been adapted to the needs of the digital photographer and combines a powerful Virtual Light table with the full functionality of SilverFast Ai with Job Manager. SilverFast DC 6 supports standard, SLR and ProBack digital cameras.
The Virtual Light Table offers such unique features as:
• Viewing - for file browsing, directory overview and EXIF info.
• Organizing - for searching, sorting, drag and drop into work area, placing images into virtual directories and saving into new directories.
• Editing and Processing – editing file names, input comments, drag images into Jobmanager, transfer images into silverFast for processing.
• Printing – print contact sheets of directory or work area or images as well as single high resolution images.
• SilverFast DC Pro-VLT will support raw data foramts of Nikon DI, Canon, Kodak DCS, DCR PROBack, Fuji, Olympus, Minolta, Sigma.
In addition Silverfast DC has special camera features such as Colour Temperature, Exposure Control and Red-Eye-Tool.
Other features of SilverFast 6 include:
• Selective Colour Correction – with Multi-Layers and masking for handling complex images.
• ACR™ - known as Adaptive Colour Restoration which brings back faded colours and normalizes over-saturated colours.
• SCTG™ - a sophisticated function for converting colour images to grayscale.
• GANE™ - a tool for eliminating grain and noise while preserving image detail.
• Help System – SilverFast has implemeneted a new help system utilizing introductory Apple QuickTime® movies. Each highlight is explained by an instructional QuickTime® movie.
