Jessops Opens First Store In The Republic Of Ireland
Jessops, the UK’s leading photographic retailer, is to open its first store in the Republic of Ireland.
Situated in the heart of Dublin, at 111 Grafton Street, the 1,250 sq ft flagship store is set to open on 29 October.
The new store will sell a comprehensive range of photographic equipment and accessories, including digital and traditional film cameras, camcorders and camera phones, in addition to offering in-store developing and printing services for films and digital images.
Symon Powell, Brand Development Director from Jessops, commented: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our new Dublin store.
“We have always stated our commitment to ensuring photographers are never far away from a Jessops store and the wide range of high-quality products and services we offer. The new Grafton Street shop moves us a step closer to that goal.
“Jessops currently operates six stores in Northern Ireland and we are aware that many customers from the Republic visit them on a regular basis. We are therefore extremely pleased to be offering them - and many more photographers of all abilities - the Jessops experience closer to home.
"Customers will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds – the wide product range and personal service of an independent company, together with the buying power and low prices of a major retailer.”
The launch of the Dublin store is the latest step in Jessops’ ongoing expansion programme. The Leicester-based company currently operates more than 260 stores across the UK and will be looking at further opportunities to expand into the ROI in the future.
