Despite tacit confirmation that it is to withdraw from the consumer photo market, Agfa does have some further new products to release into this category.
This month Agfa announces its latest scanner, the e26. Although the picture doesn’t really show this very well, it’s presented in what we are told is a very striking silver finish. Its specification looks fairly straightforward: USB connection, 600x1200 pixels per inch (ppi) maximum resolution, plus 48 bit colour sensitivity and one-touch function buttons for copying, email and fax.
Software supplied includes Adobe PhotoDeluxe for Windows, Photoshop LE for Mac, NTM Web Personal authoring software, Ulead Photo Explorer and ReadIris OCR (optical character recognition) for creating text documents from scanned pages.
The Agfa e26 is priced £79.99 inc.VAT.
