Passport photos via the Web

The ambitious claim of Web site, PasPic.com, is that it will make the ubiquitous high street passport photo booth obsolete.Hove-based PasPic claims to be the first Internet e-photo booth, though they haven’t actually worked out a way of taking your picture for you via the Web just yet.

The company says part of the key to success is to be user-friendly. You have to register, but it’s free, as are uploading photos and online storage. PasPic then charges 75p per 6 official passport size photos.

Somewhat perversely, the postage cost can work out nearly double the value of your order. P&P is £1.20 for any size order, so Paspic suggest you make the most of the postage cost and order more photos at a time. Photos are delivered 1st class normally within two working days of the order being placed.

PasPic lets  customers choose their own photos, store as many as they like, and use and re-use favourite ones. PasPic also offers a free scanning and uploading service for those who can’t or prefer not to do it themselves.
