But before I go - some more news from DPN, plus a customisable calendar you can download and print, with your own photos, to give to your loved ones. Traffic continues to soarFirst of all I want to thank the hundreds of thousands of visitors that have supported Digital Photography Now since its launch in August this year. The great news is that visitor numbers grew by 25% in the last month, with pages served rising no less than 49%. We also logged 70% more bookmarks on our site this month - almost a thousand in all. The goal for DPN is to become financially independent so the services we offer can become better and more frequently updated. With your help, we’re getting there! Your support counts! You can support this site by clicking on our ad banners and use our Ask Jeeves search engine links. It won’t cost you anything unless you discover a service that you value. Still time to enter this month’s competition...There is still time to enter our fabulous prize competition - with the first prize being £500 worth of superb LowePro camera equipment bags and accessories. There are also two £50 prizes, so three times as much chance to win something this month. Click here for more details. The 2002 DPN calendar
Of course it’s a perfect thing to provide for DPN visitors to download - maybe for a New Years gift, a late Christmas gift or just for your own use. It’s a 12 page Microsoft Word document and the difficult bits we have pre-prepared for you include the general layout of the calendar months. January is provided with some dummy highlighted dates to serve as a template for you. But basically, all you need to do is replace the main dummy graphics with your own images and Bob’s your Uncle. You need to be reasonably proficient in Microsoft Word as you will need to re-size your photos to make them fit suitably. For making highlighted day boxes, you will need to be able to adjust table cell properties - right click over the cell and you will see the menus you will need. A more detailed article to accompany the calendar template file you can download will appear in a few days. For now, click here to download the DPN 2002 calendar. And now all that’s left to be said is, enjoy your Christmas, wherever you are and let’s look forward to a happy, prosperous and peaceful 2002 for all! | |||
