Latest digicam from Ricoh

Ricoh’s new mid-range digicam was launched in the UK last week. It’s the Caplio RR120, a 2.2 megapixel model featuring a 3X optical zoom lens.

The RR120 has an unusual 1792x1200 pixel image resolution. Most 2 megapixel cameras tend to produce 1600x1200 sizes images and some go to 1800x1200 for compatibility with 35mm full frame aspect ratio pictures - handy when printing standard 6x4 inch or similar prints. 1792x1200 gets pretty close to this.

Ricoh remains faithful to the SmartMedia memory card format, with the RR120.

The Caplio RR120 will be available from the end of this month, priced £249 inc.VAT.
