Compared to the Nikon D70 (on the left), there is a noticeable difference in the dimensions compared with the more compact and less bulky D50 (right). The D70 pictured has the much bigger AF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 fitted, but that aside, the D70 looks and feels bigger. Also note that the D70 has a mode adjust wheel at the top front of the grip, which is lacking in the D50.
