xD- Picture Card 512MB - The new ultra-compact storage solution

Olympus announces its latest memory card, the 512MB xD-Picture Card which will be available from July 2003. For stockist information call freephone 0800 072 0070.

The ultra-compact xD-Picture Card which measures 20 x 25 x 1.7mm and weighs a mere 2 gms, has been developed to meet the memory card requirements of the modern, multi megapixel digital photographer. It boasts even faster data transfer rates and allows you to shoot more high resolution images for longer.

The new media has been developed to potentially support capacities up to 8GB, expanding endless possibilities for the media format in the future. Shooting versatility is enhanced through the panorama function while the available PC Card adapter and USB card reader make it easy to transfer digital pictures, movies and sound files to a computer.

A Compact Flash adapter which has been exclusively designed for the new media is also available. This allows the xD-Picture Card to be inserted in cameras with a Compact Flash slot. Olympus also offers a special xD-Picture Card holder for protecting spare cards when travelling.
