Shutterbug Turns to Crowdfunding to Bring Smartphone Remote to Market

A new start-up looking to bring advanced smartphone-based remote capabilities to digital photography has launched a crowdfunding campaign with hopes of raising $30,000.

Here’s a link to the project site, with video demo, on Crowdit.com:http://www.crowdit.com/dreamdetails/Details/280

The Shutterbug Remote (www.shutterbugremote.com) is a remote control for digital cameras that connects wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth LE technology. It incorporates the latest in remote capabilities to enable complex exposures and sequences for time-lapse movies, night photographs, “painting with light” scenes, high-dynamic range brackets, wide angle nature shots, and time delayed portraits. From up to 300 feet away, photographers can focus the lens and trigger the shutter using the free app. Along with these basic camera controls, the Shutterbug Remote also offers many of the features found in high-end professional intervalometers.

Crowdfunding offers an opportunity for individuals to rally behind great ideas and new innovation that benefit the entire community.
