In recognition of the FotoBar's outstanding features and user-friendly design, on the 1st of June CARRY Computer was awarded the "Best Choice of COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2004". The FotoBar is a multimedia device that combines the functions of DVD dual burner, DVD player and USB 2.0 multi-card reader / writer and it supports DivX, DVD, VCD, CD, and MP3 playback. Its portable design makes the FotoBar a favorable traveling companion.
It doesn't matter if you are a frequent traveler or simply going on vacation, or if you are a professional photographer taking high resolution pictures, or a novice who simply wants to snap away with your new digital camera; your flash memory card capacity may not be enough for your storage needs. The FotoBar works as a standalone to backup flash memory data to CD-R / RW, or DVD+R / RW. Besides supporting SD / MMC / MS / MS Pro / SM / CF I / CF II / Microdrive, the FotoBar's multi-card reader has the option to support the xD-Picture Card. The burning ROM features multi-session so you just press one button and the device will backup files until your disc is full. If your memory card capacity is larger than a CD-R / RW, simply insert a second disc to backup all your files. The FotoBar will prompt you with the [Need New Disc] message. Another option is to backup to DVD+R / RW which gives a capacity of 4.7 GB, this level of storage can accommodate the 4 GB flash cards available in the market today. One DVD+R / RW is all you need.
There are clear benefits from using the FotoBar and it is very much in line with this year's digital home developments. For instance, not having to connect the FotoBar to other devices to burn flash storage card data to disc means that you can effortless create whole archives on CD or DVD. Being a DivX / DVD / VCD and slideshow player means that pictures, movies and motion JPEG stored on disc or Flash Memory cards can be accessed easily and quickly.
The FotoBar can also be connected to a PC or laptop through the USB 2.0 port to act as a Multi-card reader / writer and external burning ROM. It supports 24x CD-R / 10x CD-RW / 4x DVD+R / 2.4x DVD+RW discs and 8x DVD / 24x CD playback speeds.
