The latest training courses for Digital Printing with The Imaging Warehouse have been released!
NEW SEASON FOR The Imaging Warehouse School of Photography
PermaJet will once again be a major part of the content of the courses for the new 2011 season of “The Imaging Warehouse School of Photography” for Amateur and Advanced Photographers alike.
As before, these extremely informative training courses will be one–day (Saturdays), held in small groups of 20 people or fewer and held at locations such as Stratford-Upon-Avon, Dumfries & Llandudno concentrating on a wide variety of photographic interests including:
Digital Printing Workshops -
Everything you want to know about digital colour and monochrome printing with PermaJet papers and Eco-Flo CIS Ink System based around the popular Epson printer range - however, Canon and HP users are welcome too!
Topics such as file size and image quality; 8 bit vs 16 bit images; getting the best from your digital files; Digital contact printing; Adjustment layers; Sharpening; Interpolation; Importing and saving files; Using and converting RAW files; Monitor and printer colour management; Printer problems and solutions; The creation, installation and use of ICC profiles for consistent colour and quality; Test printing; Advanced black and white features for specialist monochrome printing and the use of Permajet papers.
Photoshop Workshops -
Levels 1 up to Level 4 - Beginner through to Advanced Users covering topics such as..
a full introduction to the range of tools, filters, and image manipulation techniques available in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop for Mac & PC.
You will learn a wide range of imaging techniques; from scanning-in and image correction to enhancing & combining pictures to printed output.
The participant will learn more about the subtle and artistic control of the image; improved methods of sharpening; the extended use of layers and associated 'blend modes' and effects; how to make 3D pictures; plus how to become more discerning and critically aware of the picture-making process through digital imagery.
Portrait Photography & Lighting Workshops -
This one day introduction to the art of portrait photography will provide participants with the practical experience to create stunning portraits using studio flash and available light.
The use of a professional model during the morning will allow course emphasis to be put on the practical aspects of composition, pose, lighting, metering and use of various lenses.
On the day, participants should bring their camera and lens(es), freshly charged batteries and chargers and plenty of memory cards!

All the courses will be on a Saturday starting at 10.00am with tea/coffee on arrival followed by the introduction by the course tutor.
You break for a light lunch at around 12.30pm and restart the course from 13.15pm until 16.30pm where you will have the chance to ask any questions and take the opportunity to buy all products on the day at special discounted prices – allowing you the chance to actually recoup the cost of the course itself!
