Last call for Commonwealth photographers....

The deadline for the Commonwealth Photographic Awards has been extended to FRIDAY 18 JUNE 2004.

The Awards are open to all Commonwealth residents, and the first prize is £2000. This year's theme is 'Youth' and entries will be judged on the interpretation of the theme as well as technical ability.

As well as 'The Young Snappers Prize' (photographic equipment) for 12 to 18 year olds, the 'Dan Eldon Prize' (£250) will be awarded to a young photographer aged 18 to 30, who uses his or her work for social or humanitarian purposes. This is the chance for young photographers to be seen and express the issues surrounding 'Youth' that are important to them.

(NB, please include date of birth in the information on the reverse of the photograph).

The winning photographs will be exhibited in Central London and other Commonwealth cities.
