We also recommend that you consider a monitor calibrator to ensure that the images you see on-screen are as accurate as they can be.

It is also well worth taking a look at a monitor hood which allows you to shield unwanted light from you display and create a colour accurate working environment whilst reducing power consumption and the risk of eye strain.

And something as simple as a good screen cleaner will also help keep your display flawlessly clean.

Are you looking to invest in a new monitor but not sure which is the right option for you?
Because a monitor is a major investment and there are numerous models to choose from, offering numerous functions and features –  we have created our Top Tips to help you select which monitor is right for you, your needs and your budget.

Tip 3 - Monitor Uniformity
It is well worth looking at a display that offers strong levels of ‘monitor uniformity’. This feature negates extremely annoying contrast and colour accuracy shifts that you would otherwise encounter when you are viewing your monitor from slight angles.

Tip 5 – Beware maximum Brightness
A high brightness specification is not necessarily an indicator of a monitor’s colour accuracy or quality. In order to match a print to the image you see on-screen, you will only actually be using a fraction of its brightness for the initial years of its life.
