VSO Software announces the release of VSO Image Resizer 4, a major new version of its photo resizing freeware.
TOULOUSE, France (June, 2010) – In one click, VSO Image
Resizer will compress, convert, create copies, import, edit or
organize a single picture or a whole batch. This new version 4 is
now a stand-alone application designed for users of all levels.
“We wanted to make the product as user-friendly as possible”, says Philipp
Möllmann, VSO Image Resizer developer, “that’s why this new version focuses on
easy and straightforward access with drag and drop of files and many
other practical options.”
VSO Image Resizer 4 offers an improved stand-alone usage and a
quick access to profiles from the Windows shell extension. The file selection has been
revamped, allowing images and folders to be added together to the same project.
This new window can also be customized with different view styles. Profiles can be
exported and backed up, a useful option when using the program on multiple
machines to perform the same task.
With the live preview, a major new feature in VSO Image Resizer 4, users can see
what the result will look like before actually resizing or converting images.
Also a much-awaited option has been included: the output can
be sent directly by email or be compressed to a zip folder in case
of batch conversion. The output size can be defined so that it
doesn’t exceed the maximum weight supported by the email
server.
The watermark function has been improved with html-like text formatting features,
which means advanced possibilities for users to protect their work.
The software has a free version that comes with a nag window. The nag is removed
with the purchase of the full version.
