Air2Air Launches the DraganFlyer X4

State-of-the-art helicopter combines 12.1MP Photography & Hi-Definition Video

11 March, 2010: Air2Air today launches the DraganFlyer X4; the latest unmanned aerial vehicle to be launched in the UK by Air2Air following the success of the DraganFlyer X6 in September 2009. The DraganFlyer X4 is a unique and state-of-the-art helicopter featuring a revolutionary aerial photography system that can take high definition video and pictures almost anywhere.

The New DraganFlyer X4 uses a quad rotor design to offer flight stability and control while capturing images and video. The advanced radio control technology allows the DraganFlyer X4 to be piloted remotely and an advanced autopilot feature is available to offer flight support when needed. With a payload of 250g, the X4 includes four interchangeable camera attachments including infra-red and low light video cameras, as well as a top end 12.1MP camera capable of 720P video and Micro Analog Board Camera that can capture a range of stunning aerial imagery and video to suit all needs. Videos and images can be instantly viewed through the DraganEye video output goggles that are also transmitted directly to the wireless video base station or recorded on-board via built in SD cards or onboard DVR.

The Draganflyer X4 uses advanced flight sensors, helping to self stabilise itself during flight. Magnetometers, Accelerometers, and a Barometric Pressure Sensor all work together with an advanced flight computer to allow the user to concentrate on capturing perfect aerial pictures and video.

The DraganFlyer X4 also includes flexible, shock absorbing and quick release landing gear, counter rotating carbon fibre rotor blades as well as offering fast deployment, remote surveillance capabilities and low-noise brushless motors.

All buyers receive two days worth of training with an experienced pilot and a Military standard carry case to transport their helicopter. The DraganFlyer X4 can also be used for a range of photographic purposes including government, wedding, and nature spotting as well commercial purposes within the film media industry.

David Cooper, Managing Director of Air2Air comments, “What used to be only be possible with a passenger helicopter and a series of special aerial cameras and photographers is now possible with this small battery powered Dragaflyer X4. The DraganFlyer X4 offers a unique and revolutionary way to capture aerial imagery and video.”

The DraganFlyer X4 is now available for purchase.
