Data Robotics to Showcase Drobo Product Line at Focus on Imaging 2010

LONDON, UK, 26 February 2010 - Data Robotics, Inc., the company that delivers the best data storage experience ever, today announced that the complete Drobo product line, including the recently launched Drobo S and DroboElite, will be on display at this year's Focus on Imaging Show (NEC, Birmingham, March 7-10). Data Robotics will be at stand C29, hall 9, at Europe's biggest annual imaging show.

Rapid advances in digital technology have resulted in a swift increase of image file sizes, and with many Digital SLRs now capable of recording HD videos, photographers' storage requirements are continuing to grow. As a result many are now faced with managing a growing library of multiple external drives.  What the industry really needed was something that offered the built-in protection of RAID with the simplicity of an external USB drive.

"The international photo community has enthusiastically embraced Drobo since it was launched in 2007.  Drobo was created based on the belief that storage doesn't have to be complicated.  Instead, we believe that storage should be safe, expandable and incredibly simple to use," said Mike Collins, EMEA channel director at Data Robotics. "Focus on Imaging 2010 gives us the opportunity to offer photographers' a firsthand look at our storage solutions and further expand our reach into this market."

Data Robotics will showcase its four, five and eight drive Drobo storage arrays, which provide amateur and professional photographers with a hugely simplified storage experience. The products are based on the company's award-winning BeyondRAID(tm) virtualised storage platform and enhanced by advanced self-monitoring and self-healing features that ensure the highest levels of data protection.
