DxO Optics Pro v6.1.2 for Windows adds support for Pentax K-7, Sony A500 and A550, Panasonic LX3 and GH1, and 81 new DxO Optics Modules

New version also improves stability.

January 27, 2010 - DxO Labs is pleased to announce the immediate availability of DxO Optics Pro v6.1.2 for Windows that adds RAW support in both in its Standard and Elite editions for the following cameras:

  • Pentax K-7
  • Sony Alpha DSLR-A500
  • Sony Alpha DSLR-A550
  • Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3
  • Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1.

This release also improves stability and removes a color cast at very high ISO for Nikon and Pentax cameras.
Furthermore, 81 new DxO Optics Modules are now available to DxO Optics Pro users, covering the Canon 7D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, REBEL XTi/400D, DIGITAL REBEL XSi/450D and REBEL T1i/500D; Fuji S5; Nikon D200, D300, D300s, D50, D3000, D5000 and D80; Panasonic LX3 and GH1; Pentax K-7; and Sony A230, A330, A500 and A550.

Availability and price
DxO Optics Pro v6.1.2 for Windows, both Standard and Elite editions, is immediately available from both DxO Labs’ e-store and selected resellers at the following prices:

  • DxO Optics Pro v6.1.2 Standard edition: $169 / 149 € / £ 99
  • DxO Optics Pro v6.1.2 Elite edition: $299 / 299 € / £ 199

€ and £ prices include sales taxes and VAT.
DxO Optics Pro 6 for Mac is scheduled for release during the first quarter of 2010 and will be available as a free upgrade to customers who have purchased version 5 or higher after June 1, 2009.

System Requirements

  • 2 GB RAM minimum
  • 400 MB available disk space
  • To process RAW images larger than 20 MPixels, a 64-bit operating system with 4 GB RAM is strongly recommended

Windows:

  • Intel Pentium 4 processor or AMD equivalent (Pentium Dual Core or higher or equivalent recommended)
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista 32 or 64 bits, Windows 7
