Zürich, December 4, 2009 - Datacolor, a global leader in colour management solutions, today announces that it will begin shipping its new Spyder3Print SR™ (Strip Reader) spectrocolorimeter as a standalone product. The new product will support photographers and graphic artists currently using the company's Spyder3™ monitor calibration systems. Initially introduced as part of Datacolor's innovative Spyder3Studio SR™ system, which offers an end-to-end calibration solution for image capture, digital desktop image manipulation, and print output, the new Spyder3Print SR will be available at photo retail and specialty outlets by mid-December and has a suggested retail price of £279.00.
Spyder3Print SR is a new spectrocolorimeter that incorporates significant advancements in ICC printer profile technology; this along with new software algorithm ensures fast, easy and accurate measurements for outstanding colour and black-and-white prints. Users with all levels of expertise will now be able to easily and quickly create ICC profiles in minutes by using Datacolor's Strip-Reading Spectrocolorimeter and SpyderGuide™. The Spyder3Print SR provides outstanding results with any combination of ink, paper, and printer. Users will see noticeable improvements in their colour prints, as well as outstanding results when producing black-and-white and fine art prints.
