Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro: award-winning SLR now even more accessible

Fujifilm announces availability of FinePix S2 Pro at a lowered SRP of £1,699.99

Embargoed until 9th May 2003

Fujifilm today announced new pricing for the multi award-winning FinePix S2 Pro. The camera, which scooped three awards at this year's PMA (Photo Marketing Association) and recently won the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) award for Best Digital SLR 2003, will be available at a new Suggested Retail Price of £1,699.99 including VAT, from Friday 9 May 2003. The new price represents a £300 drop from the S2 Pro's previous SRP, and prices within retail are expected to come in below the £1,699.99 figure.

The FinePix S2 Pro uses Fujifilm's acclaimed Super CCD sensor to get the most out of 6.17 million effective pixels, delivering a stunning 12 million pixel (4,256 x 2,848) image. Its reputation for outstanding picture colour and detail makes this camera an incredibly attractive option for professional and serious amateur photographers. The FinePix S2 Pro also offers exceptional control over the taking, editing, storing and transferring of high-resolution images, whether in the studio or on location.

Will Rolls, Marketing Manager, Fujifilm UK said, "For consumers, two things have improved on the FinePix S2 Pro - firstly, it is now available more widely than before, and secondly, at a very accessible price. It is not the newest digital SLR on the market, but we are confident that it will easily outgun recent additions to this important category."
