Samsung launches the slim and feature-packed ES55 compact camera

7th January 2009 – Samsung Digital Imaging, leaders in innovation and digital technology, is pleased to announce the launch of a new E Series compact Camera - the ES55 - combining all the technology today’s picture takers require, at an affordable price.

Face Detection
The extremely stylish 10 mega pixel, 3x optical zoom lens digital camera boasts a host of features to make it easier than ever to take professional quality photos. Samsung's innovative Face Detection technology detects the subject’s face and automatically adjusts auto focus and auto exposure to ensure better composition and image quality for portraits. Digital Image Stabilisation
The premium quality ES55, with aluminum casing and lithium battery, also features Samsung’s fast Digital Image Stabilization system which helps compensate unwanted camera movement and subject blur - so pictures are always crisp and in sharp focus.
