CANON iMAGE GATEWAY announces new ‘Video Podcast’ service at Photokina
United Kingdom / Republic of Ireland, 22nd September, 2008: CANON iMAGE GATEWAY (www.canon-europe.com/cig) announces the launch of a brand new 'Video Podcast' service at Photokina 2008. This exclusive online portal enables registered Canon product owners to easily share photos and movies with friends and family.
Available from December 2008, CANON iMAGE GATEWAY Video Podcast is a new online service that enables users to send movies shot on a Canon digital camera or digital video camcorder to their family and friends by using the mechanism of Podcast. Key features include:

Movies shot on a Canon digital camera or camcorder can be quickly and easily uploaded and shared using the Video Podcast Utility. Once uploaded,
family and friends are allowed to easily download the movies using iTunes and then easily transfer the movies to their iPhones and iPods to fully
enjoy them anywhere.
Unlike some movie-sharing websites, CANON iMAGE GATEWAY is secure and exclusively available to Canon product owners. Users can specify which
people or groups they want to share their movies with – offering complete flexibility. Once invited to join via email, family and friends can easily
subscribe to a user’s Video Podcast Channel. As subscribers, their iTunes software will be updated every time new content is uploaded by the user.
