Samsung Cameras extends its digital compact range by introducing the Samsung i80, i100 and S1060 Digital Cameras
24 January 2008 - Samsung Cameras, leaders in innovation and digital imaging, is building on the significant success experienced from its CES show product announcements, with the launch of three new camera models the i80 and i100, and the high-performance, stylishly designed S1060. The Samsung compact camera range caters for every photographic need, from entry-level models for the total beginner to top-end cameras for the serious enthusiast.
i80
The 8.1 mega pixel i80 features 3x optical zoom, a large 3.0” Intelligent LCD Screen and is equipped with PMP (Personal Multimedia Player) with integrated MP3 player. It offers Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology which detects the subject’s face, automatically adjusts auto focus and auto exposure to ensure better composition and image quality for portraits. The i80 is also equipped with the Samsung Digital Image Stabilization system and ISO 3200 high sensitivity support so images remain crisp and detailed even without a flash.
i100
The 10.2 mega pixel i100 features 3x optical zoom, a large 3.0” Intelligent LCD Screen and is equipped with PMP (Personal Multimedia Player) with integrated MP3 player. It features an in-built 'World Tour Guide' function which provides instant access to travel information covering 30 countries, so you’ll always know where the action is. The i100 is also equipped with Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, ISO 3200 high sensitivity support and Samsung’s Dual Image Stabilization system. Dual Image Stabilization technology applies optical image stabilization (OIS) and digital image stabilization (DIS), to capture subjects without a flash or tripod even in low-light or shaky conditions.
S1060
The 10.2 mega-pixel S1060 is the latest addition to the Samsung's award-winning S range. It features, 5x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom and ISO 1600. The S1060 is equipped with a 2.7” LCD screen and the Samsung Digital Image Stabilization system. It also offers Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which can recognize the faces of up to nine people, setting the appropriate exposure to ensure the highest image quality.
