Calumet has announced the launch of a range of new products for professional photographers and serious amateurs – including pioneering image recovery software.

The new 'Media Medic' software works with most USB, FireWire or other digital media readers and can recover lost data from digital cameras and camcorders, MP3 players, Palm Pilots and other devices.

Said Guy Johnson, Calumet Product Manager: "At just £18.99 this CD-ROM ends the photographer’s recurrent nightmare of losing images and digital data from memory cards. In just a few mouse clicks this software makes it possible to recover most lost files including JPGS, TIF. RAW, NEF, KDC, DCR, RAF, CRW and X3F."

The company's 'summer innovations' include the launch of US-manufactured, 'Brilliant Supreme Inkjet Printer Inks', specially engineered to provide ultimate quality output from specified Epson printers at highly competitive prices.

The new Calumet 7800 Heavy Duty Professional Tripod and Calumet 7064 Heavy Duty 3-way Quick-release Head also make their UK nationwide debut this summer.

Calumet has also come up with a new portrait background solution.

Its new washable muslin sheets, complete with carry cases, can be draped, hung or gathered behind products or props.
