Kodak Launches Space Promotion to Incentivise Kodak EasyShare Camera & Dock Sales
Opportunity to win a family holiday for four to Kennedy Space Centre and Space Camp, USA plus 7 nights in Orlando, Florida, with Kodak EasyShare Space Promotion
UK, 22 October 2003 -Kodak Digital & Applied Imaging (D&AI) today announced the launch of its consumer and trade promotion 'Out of this world', to drive the sale of Kodak EasyShare Digital Cameras and Docks. The promotion offers a number of incentives, not only encouraging consumers to embrace the EasyShare system, but also educating retail staff and helping to develop their level of understanding across the range of Kodak EasyShare products.
Customers will be able to enter the competition to win the holiday by posting a picture, or uploading a digital photograph, of someone showing why they are 'out of this world'. The Top 10 photos will appear each week in the 'Gallery' on the Kodak web site, until a total of 140 photos have been displayed. At the end of the competition, the photograph judged as the best will be awarded the holiday prize.
In addition, key channel and trade personnel will be incentivised with a range of space pens and themed merchandise. There will also be a merchandiser performance incentive, encouraging the merchandisers to involve, promote and educate the EasyShare retail staff. The merchandiser who gets the most entries, will be awarded a DX6490 and Printer Dock 6000.
"Our Space Promotion went live on 6th October," commented Chris Bowen, country manager, UK and Ireland, of Kodak Digital and Applied Imaging. "We believe that by offering enticing rewards amongst channel and trade personnel, we will be able to create not only a better understanding of our EasyShare products, but also a renewed enthusiasm amongst retail staff."
Kodak Space Promotion runs from October 2003 until 11th January 2004.
