Artfair365.co.uk's creator, James Taylor, explained the concept behind the website: 'Buying art can be a time-consuming and intimidating experience. Artfair365.co.uk was designed specifically to make buying and browsing art easy and pleasurable. The site allows visitors to browse and search artists' portfolios at their leisure and from the comfort of their own homes. The site showcases a wide range of diverse and original work from traditional to contemporary - at very affordable prices - and new artists and artworks are being added daily.'
Visitors can browse work for sale by subject or theme, medium, or even by colour to complement their homes or interiors. There is also an advanced search facility, if visitors are looking for something specific. Artwork is bought direct from the artist - artfair365.co.uk takes no commission on sales.
Artfair365.co.uk offers different types of accounts for artists to market their work through the site, from a basic Free Artist account up to a Premier Artist account. Each user has a personal admin area where they can manage their account, portfolio and profile. Prices for paid subscriptions start at just 25 GBP per year for a Standard Artist account, which allows users to publish up to 25 images in their portfolio at any one time. The Premier Artist account which offers additional benefits costs just 50 GBP per year.
James Taylor added: 'Although the site has only been live for 5 months, last month alone we had over 15,000 visits and a substantial number of offers and enquiries on artworks for sale.'
