Shugborough launches photography competition in memory of Patrick Lichfield

A national photographic competition is being launched to celebrate the life and work of internationally renowned photographer the late Patrick Lichfield.

Patrick Lichfield learnt the art of photography at Shugborough, taking photographs of the Estate's parkland and gardens as a child. As his reputation as a professional photographer became established he travelled the world undertaking commissions, but would still find opportunities to photograph at home using Shugborough and its grounds as the backdrop to many of his well-known images.
