Release Issued by Colour Confidence:
What does Vista mean for colour management
Birmingham, UK, 14th February 2007 - Colour Confidence, the leading independent colour management specialist, has today responded to the launch of Windows Vista by announcing an extensive compatibility testing programme. In conjunction with major manufacturers, the company is seeking to provide official confirmation of Vista compatibility for its key colour management solutions. Colour Confidence has already confirmed that the PANTONE huey is suitable for use with the new operating system, with update downloads available from www.colourconfidence.com. Preliminary testing of other solutions is also proving favourable. However, the advice for the short term is to proceed with caution.
"Until we can offer full, official verification of solution compatibility, our advice is not to use Windows Vista for colour critical work", comments Geoffrey Clements, Managing Director of Colour Confidence. "We will of course do all we can to clarify the situation as soon as possible. Colour Confidence and our manufacturers are committed to offering solutions suitable for use with the Vista operating system, and we will continue to update our website as new information becomes available."
Regularly updated details of Vista compatible colour management products can be found in the Latest Information section at www.colourconfidence.com
