Here are the ten best entries from our second Photo Fix Challenge. Now it's time for you to choose the best results
After a bit of a delay, for which we're very sorry, here are the ten best pictures produced by those that took up our second Photo Fix Challenge. Now we need to find the best result out of the ten best submitted.
Variety is the spice of life
Once again, the variety in the results has been very interesting. Hardly any two entries resembles the other. This begs the question - if we all have different eyes for a picture, just who is 'right'?
Below is the original picture. It's not too bad, but suffers from a classic problem of bright external light and dark shadows. We challenged DPNow readers to 'improve' the picture.
Artistic and technical merit
Like our first Photo fix Challenge, some entrants decided to make their artistic mark on the challenge. Others went by the letter of the challenge and concentrated primarily on improving the picture as it was taken. So this time we want to reward both takes on the challenge.
Below is a thumbnail gallery of all ten finalists' work. Study each carefully and then note the numbers of the best image for artistic interpretation and the best image for technical improvement. At the very end of this page is a simple form for submitting your selection.
The result will be posted on 1st January – that's only just a couple of weeks away or so!
