The SLW-831SX is a DVD±R(W) writer with double layer capabilities. The slim design makes it ideal for travellers and notebook users, being incredibly compact and lightweight (350g). It is also ideal for desktop users who want to save space, or simply want to have a more sleek and attractive drive in view.
What's more, the drive boasts a steady performance, and with the slot load design, inserting and ejecting discs can be done in a single smooth step, without the risk of breaking vulnerable trays whilst on the move.
Besides its slender appearance and easy loading system, the SLW-831SX also demonstrates great performance on reading and writing speeds and quality. The drive reads and writes (2.4x) double layer media, letting you store, edit and share up to 8.5 GB of video, photos, multi-media presentations and more on one DVD. Furthermore it writes on DVD+R and DVD-R at 8x and rewrites on DVD±RW at 4x. CD-R(W) can be written at 24x.
The SLW-831SX will be available across Europe from April 2006 for a recommended end-user price of £97.
