Release Issued by Jessops:
New Digital Data Storage Device - Only From Jessops
Jessops, the UK’s leading photographic retailer, has added an exclusive new portable media storage device to its product range.
The battery-operated Digidock transfers photos or digital data from memory cards onto the built-in 20GB hard disk at the touch of a button – removing the worries associated with full memory cards or travelling with a laptop.
Compact and lightweight, the Digidock can be used as stand-alone storage to backup images from a camera’s memory card - without the need for a computer - and as a portable high-speed USB 2.0 storage device for transferring files to or from a PC or Mac at speeds of up to 480 Mbps.
The simple to operate device, available only from Jessops, can store thousands of images - up to 22,740 at 2 megapixel resolution, or 8,180 at 5 megapixel resolution.
It is compatible with all the most popular types of memory card including SmartMedia, SD/MMC, xD, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro, IBM Micro Drive, and Compact Flash I/II. Image management is easy, with users able to create up to 9999 folders for each type of memory card.
Measuring just 100mm long x 70mm wide x 26mm high and weighing only 180 grams, the Digidock has a battery life of 2-3 hours in continuous operation. The built-in LCD panel provides details of storage space, media type, and file transfer status, as well as battery power and charging status.
The Digidock also has an auto shut-off function for power saving and comes with a leather case and wrist strap, Li-ion rechargeable battery and charger, USB2.0 cable, driver disk and full instruction manual.
As with all Jessops-brand products, the Digidock is manufactured to an extremely high standard, offers excellent value for money and is backed by a 12 month warranty.
Priced at £149.99, the Digidock is available from any of Jessops’ 270 stores across the UK, by visiting the secure on-line shop at www.jessops.com.
