Panasonic builds on the synergies between the SD Memory Card, DVD and Digital TV

Release Issued by Panasonic:

Panasonic puts HD Plasma TV at the heart of the home

Mr Fumio Ohtsubo, President of Panasonic AVC Networks Company, explains how High Definition plasma television will benefit consumers, in his opening Keynote presentation at IFA 2005.

Speaking in Berlin, Mr Ohtsubo shows how Panasonic has transformed an already successful formula, of building on the synergies between the SD Memory Card, DVD and Digital TV, into one that delivers the benefits of High Definition to consumers especially in their homes. These HD benefits include larger and thinner high quality plasma TVs, camcorders, DVD recorders and digital still cameras, that make excellent use of the growing power of the SD Memory Card to open up opportunities for consumers to share music, images and movies.

“Panasonic is leading a revolution that will transform our customers’ lives in very fundamental ways”, says Mr Ohtsubo. “At the heart of that revolution is the television.”

“I believe that television is at the heart of the home and the coming of High Definition Plasma TV will put the focus back onto television in a very major way.”
