While attention is firmly on
PMA, we mustn’t forget that the UK’s premier annual photo products show, Focus on Imaging, takes place from the end of the month at the Birmingham NEC.
If Nikon’s seminar timetable is anything to go by, it could be worth a visit for this alone. The line-up of speakers is particularly impressive this year with guest lectures from Patrick Woodhead of the record-breaking Trans-Antarctica Expedition team, whom Nikon recently sponsored; wildlife photography expert and broadcaster Chris Packham on the fast-growing art of digiscoping; Paul Delmar, award-winning lecturer in photojournalism at The Sheffield College and Luiz Santos, the winner of the inaugural BJP/Nikon Endframe Dream Project Award, on his dream photography project. There will also be talks from Nikon, Apple, Lexar, Epsom, Wacom and Phojo.
