Mamiya announce ZD and ZD Back.

Mamiya are pleased to announce two new digital products from Mamiya - the Mamiya ZD Digital SLR and ZD Back.

Since 1940, Mamiya have designed and manufactured high quality cameras and lenses with excellent reliability and ease of use. And it is these aims that Mamiya has focused on so to create the Mamiya ZD and ZD Back.

Mamiya ZD Digital SLR Camera.
The Mamiya ZD is the latest evolution in professional medium format cameras. Inheriting the same high quality that has made Mamiya the leader in professional imaging, the 22 million-pixel Mamiya ZD comes with a 48 x 36mm CCD that achieves outstanding image quality to rival it's earlier film counterparts. Mamiya has also designed the camera with outstanding handling and ease of use, which are achieved through a new ergonomic body designed around the photographer.

By utilising the very latest digital technology and high quality optics then combining it with a new ergonomic body Mamiya have created a digital camera for the new generation.

Mamiya ZD Back.
With the introduction of the Mamiya ZD Back the evolution of the Mamiya 645 AFD and the new Mamiya RZ67 Pro IID has been completed - two modular cameras designed for high quality Film and Digital photographers. The Mamiya ZD Back shares the same 48 x 36mm CCD as the Mamiya ZD camera and communicates directly with the 645 AFD and RZ67 Pro IID via the MSCE Interface (Mamiya Serial Communication for External). With the new Mamiya ZD back these cameras have evolved into complete imaging solutions that can switch seamlessly between the analog and digital worlds.

Price and Availability:
Mamiya Japan are near completion of these two new products and shall announce the price in the near future. Though we cannot confirm pricing nor availability at this time we believe that it shall be very competitive within the market and available in Q1 of 2005.
