With its 2002 Z Series of inkjet printers introduced today, Lexmark International extends its legacy of technology leadership, once again setting a precedent in print resolution with an industry-first: 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution. The 2002 Z Series, which includes the Lexmark Z25, Z35, Z45, Z55, Z65 and Z65n Color Jetprinters, offer fast print speeds and new features that make it easier than ever for business and home users to print. Innovative Technology Advancements The flagship Lexmark Z65 offers a host of innovative features enabling it to meet the demanding needs of small office/home office (SOHO) users and performance seeking consumers. Dual paper trays make it simple to print on a variety of media, such as glossy photo paper and transparencies. Lexmark's PrecisionSense(tm) technology offers the ultimate ease of use with automatic cartridge alignment and an optical media type sensor which automatically determines the type of paper in the front tray and adjusts the printer driver to optimise output. In addition, the Lexmark Z65 boasts the fastest colour print speed in its class at up to 15 pages per minute (ppm) in colour, and as fast as 21 ppm in black - making it a must for high-volume users. Both the Lexmark Z65 and Z55 have PrecisionPhoto(tm) technology offering up to 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution on the Z65, while the Lexmark Z55 is capable of up to 3600 x 1200 dpi resolution. This technology also allows the printer to produce microfine, variable colour drop size, as small as three picoliter (pl), allowing for better colour transitions and more detailed textures, with different droplets produced on demand. Photography buffs will appreciate the superb detail and vivid colour, while business users will benefit from striking colour graphics and laser-sharp text output.
