Rounding off this week’s digital imaging hardware product announcements is the new compact and low profile Deskjet 3420 printer. It’s billed by HP as being capable of producing ‘brilliant’ photo quality, but in reality this is not a printer equipped with photo inks, nor the enhanced 4800dpi resolution of some of its new stablemates. Overview: The HP Deskjet 3420 colour inkjet printer is designed for basic, everyday use and produces fast, photo-quality prints at an affordable price. Highlights:
