It’s only a month away from the UK’s big national photographic industry show, Focus on Imaging, at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre, which takes place between 23rd and 26th February. UK-based camera bag maker, CCS, will be launching a number of new additions to its range at the show. The press release says it all below: Official CCS press release:January 2003 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESS RELEASE New Professional products from CCS to launch at Focus on Imaging
CCS, the British camera bag company, is set to unveil a new range of professional products at this year’s Focus on Imaging Show at the NEC in Birmingham (February 23-26). We give you a sneak preview of what you can expect. After consulting numerous photographers about design, useability and more importantly practicality, CCS has come up with the ultimate range for professional and enthusiast photographers on the move. The Pro range encompasses the Photojournalist Holdall, already in high demand, the Photojournalist Briefcase, the Gladstone No. 10 and No. 11, all of which feature the original Gladstone opening system. There are five new Pro lens pouches and new to the range is the innovative Tripos Rucksack. This patented system combines a tripod and rucksack in a single unit providing a unique working platform with exceptional portability.
The CCS Pro Lens Pouches fit a range of different lenses (see box below for more precise measurements). All pouches are manufactured using shock-absorbing foam which guarantees outstanding protection for your equipment. CCS always produces bags and pouches with the photographer in mind, and the Pro Pouches are no different. Pouches No 1, No 2, No 3 and No 4 feature loops on the front so that they can be worn on a belt, and also feature lids that open away from the body allowing easy access. Drawstring closure ensures extra protection for your lens. There are also attachments that allow the Pro Pouches to be attached to a rucksack or similar carrying system. The largest No 5 Pro Lens Pouch (left) is a real boon for sports photographers and the like, standing at 39cm tall, it will accommodate Canon and Nikon lenses of the following sizes: f2.8 300mm with hood; f2.8 400mm without hood and f4 300mm. The sturdy No 5 pouch usefully features a grab handle, jumbo shoulder strap, to help spread the load, as well as metal fixings, double lid protection and quick release flaps on the two side pockets. There is also a mesh front pocket, comfort mesh rear padding, adjustable foam ‘lens stabilising’ system inside the pouch and 12mm-thick shock-absorb- ing foam. The No 5 pouch is also outstandingly good value at £79.99.
The Tripos system incorporates a detachable back panel, removable laptop case, large main compartment with adjustable dividers and a separate outer pocket for clothing and other accessories. Comfort has been at the forefront of the design with the inclusion of a lumber pad, adjustable belt, sternum strap and padded hip fins. The Tripos (combined rucksack and tripod) is available for £349.99. The rucksack can be purchased as a separate item for £199.99. In addition, a camouflaged water-resistant hide can be used in conjunction with the Tripos unit, this costs £129.99.
The new CCS Photojournalist Holdall can comfortably accommodate a laptop and a comprehensive SLR outfit including two bodies, three lenses and flash or a complete medium format outfit. The two Pro Gladstone holdalls, the No 10 and No 11, are reliable and robust bags available in black with olive trim. Both offer professionals and enthusiasts the capacity for SLR kits or medium format outfits (a limited medium format kit can fit in the No 11). All the Gladstone holdalls and briefcases feature a grab handle, jumbo shoulder pad which spreads the load, metal fixings, 2mm leather which protects your holdall on the corners and the base, and of course the famous Gladstone opening for unparalleled access and visibility. Double lids and storm flaps protect your precious equipment from the unpredictable British weather! As with all CCS bags, manufacturing is of the highest quality and all the holdalls incorporate the original and unique Gladstone opening. All bags will be on view at the Focus On Imaging show, stand G12, and will be available in all good photographic shops from February. For further details check out the website at www.ccscentre.co.uk. All CCS bags are covered by a 30-year workmanship and materials guarantee (see exact terms on the website or the CCS brochure). ENDS Customer contact: Tel: 0117 963 5263 Website:www.ccscentre.co.uk
