Post your London 2012 Olympics shots here!

Are you going (have you been?) to a 2012 Olympics event? I'm sure we'd all like to see your shots. If you anre't already registered, you do need to register on the forum to post here but it only takes a minute or two.

Sadly, I will have to wait for the Paralympics although one of my daughters is going to the Beach Volleyball and Handball events with her school in the next couple of days and I hope to post some of her shots here.

So for the time being here are some shots I took at the white water canoe and kayak GB trials for Olympic places a few months ago:

just been looking at my calender i am hoping to get to the

7th August Men's Triathlon (Estimated time 11:30- 14:00 hrs GMT)

12th August 2012 Men's Marathon (Estimated time 11:00- 13:30 hrs GMT)

11th August 2012 Men's 50km Race Walk (Estimated time 09:00- 13:00 hrs GMT)

Elizabeth is back later this afternoon after watching handball yesterday and beach volleyball today with her school. Hopefully she will have some good shots - apparently she recorded some video yesterday and caught a red-card incident in the handball match she was spectating at.

As promised some shots taken by my daughter, Elizabeth (16), earlier today from the Beach Volleyball at Horseguards Parade (edited and processed by me in Lightroom 4.1

):

Lizzie on the left and friend Vicky on the right. Quite amazing that this is 5 minutes walk from Trafalgar square!

You can see here that the sun wasn't always shining and while it was dry today - it was quite chilly!

I guess the youngsters in the beach garb are there to add a beach feel to the proceedings before each match. Here a men's match is about to start.

I will try to find out what this was all about - some celebrity in the crowd, maybe?

And last of all:

I haven't sorted through the rest of the Beach Volleyball shots yet so there might be more to come and the other shots are from the Handball events.

The white water canoe and kayak pictures are something else Ian.

They are brilliant,Makes me want to go and find some fast moving water and try and get some shots.

Here's a video clip that Elizabeth recorded while watching the Denmark vs. Hungary Handball match.

Watch out half way where there is a red card incident. Was it fair? It looks to me that the player simply stumbled all by himself...

They are fantastic. Elizabeth really did do well and definitely has an eye for photography as John says.

I think I should make sure that I had my own signature on the pics though, instead of my dad's.

Ian - you must be so proud of her, really excellent shots there. The goalie's position and expression in the handball is absolutely priceless! She's definitely got "the eye" - I really liked the wild flowers in front of the stadium too.
