Hello from Adobe UK's training facility

Well, here we are - all getting the low down on Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom. Some familiar and not so familiar faces here. I just hope that the generous lunch provided hasn't dulled the concentration for this afternoon's activities!

Re: Hello from Adobe UK's training facility

Hope you all had fun. It would have been nice to have been able to come and see the training facility and meet some of you guys. I saw a review of cs3 the other day in one of the mags, it looks like it has some great new tools in it. They also did a small review of lightroom that seemed to go down well. I think I may go for lightroom as I like the way that works and I have used both the free downloads. I would like to know how you all got on with the two programs.

Re: A couple of pictures from the event today

This is more of a momento for those who attended... today's Adobe CS3 training event for DPNow readers at Adoeb UK in Ukxbridge, west London:

And I think I can very safely say the day was a big success

Several of the attendees have promised to post some feedback here

But let's wait for them to get home - the camer from as far as Taunton in the west country and Leeds in Yorkshire.

I'd agree with you, though the raw conversion (Develop) module and the asset management element of Lightroom are also awesome

Re: Hello from Adobe UK's training facility

Hi Louisa, good to see you here on the forum!

CS3 won't actually be shipping for a few weeks yet, which is going to be very frustrating for some!

Thumbs up Re: Hello from Adobe UK's training facility

It was a great day with an impressive training session on some of the major new items in Photoshop as well as a good overview of Lightroom, not forgetting a look at the new Bridge. The only downside was that we learners were all assigned Dell Computers while watching screen images from an impressive MacBook Pro!

Re: Hello from Adobe UK's training facility

Hi Kurt, I was impressed at how fast Photoshop CS3 booted up, but later on it did struggle a bit because, as you pointed out, the trainin centre PCs were a couple of years old and past their prime (3GHz Pentium 4, with 1GB RAM). Even my laptop is a fair bit faster than that and with more memory.

But it was mainly where we had to view animations that the PCs were puffing a bit
