Lunchtime wanders

I've always got a camera in my bag - usually my EOS-M, and try to go for a lunchtime walk around the town every day.

The early snowdrops are out in the churchyard - I particularly like these, because the land is higher and you don't have to contort yourself into odd positions to be able to get a reasonable angle!

And I work about 200 yards from Banbury Cross. I was looking forward to getting back in the warm - it looks cold in the picture, but what you can't feel is the bitter wind! In front of the Cross is the WW1 memorial soldier, who's looking a little frost-burned at the moment in front of his poppy and surrounded by pansies.

Pleasing to see you always carry a camera.

The snowdrops make me think warmer weather is not far away.

If the fine lady was riding her white horse today she would have felt pretty cold.

Thanks for the comment Barrie.

The fine lady was riding her horse (she's just outside the reception of our main office - I work up the road) but she's currently surrounded by British Gas vans as they did up the road in front of and beside the office. I've taken the odd photo of her over the years!

No Snowdrops in my area yet. Or maybe I just haven't seen them.

Daffs are well underway, though no buds yet. Some cherry trees nearby blossomed a couple of weeks ago!

The Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique came to Banbury last week, and I forgot! Still, little camera in bag I set off through the biting wind to have a look then realised I'd committed the cardinal sin of forgetting to change the battery. Ah well, managed a few - as usual, the EOS-M had the 22mm f2 pancake on (or then it's not a handbag camera!)

I like the cars photos, Caz.

I had a Rover 200TC like the one you photographed. Although that may well be a 2000. Cant quite make it out.

But I notice the typical rust at the bottom of the doors.

Awaiting renovation - barge near Tully's Boatyard on the Oxford Canal at Banbury. Taken from outside the shopping centre and above - I couldn't get to the towpath beside it because it's private, so this was taken with my little mirrorless through the railings (I got some quite funny looks). This was taken last week, when the weather was very dreary.
