Strictly For The Birds

Hello All,

I'm a new member from the Central Coast of California. My favorite subjects are birds and I especially enjoy utilizing side-lighting to achieve the look I'm after in my photography. I use superzoom bridge cameras and all images were taken hand-held and have not been cropped. I hope you enjoy these beautiful birds!

What also pleases me is the chance to see birds that we don't see in the UK.

Again. Very nice to see these. We do have the Wood Duck here. But not native.

They are bought here for Wetlands parks.

Thanks, Gary. In this photo, which was taken at a lake, the windy weather conditions created turbulence in the water and I decided to lower the exposure to 1/250 second, which allowed for the dreamlike water effect.
