Hi Pol,

Peregrine usually take their prey in the air, they are well equipped for that. If the predator taking your pigeons is a bird, it is very likely to be a Sparrowhawk. I have witnessed losing...

Peregrine 2012 Season - Part 3 12 June 2012

In the short time between visits, the chicks have lost most of their down and now reveal their juvenile plumage. The difference between the adults and the juveniles is still very obvious. The legs...

Peregrine 2012 Season - Part 1

The season started well with the Peregrine pair returning to the nest site area in early March. They were using the Pylon as a roost and flying over to the cliff face nesting place. This all fits in...

Peregrine 2012 Season - Part 2 Re-discovery

I received an email telling me that the Peregrine were back. They had changed the location of their nest site which was very hard to locate. They are now some 250-300 feet up in quite an obscure...

Re: Common Tern at the Oysterbeds

Thanks Barrie. These photos say everything that I love about the Oysterbed site. Watching and recording special moments like this reveals so much of what goes on in the colony.
