Two from me for today - both from Tuesday in Oxford.

First on were leading lights of the NWOCR (new wave of classick rock) scene, Massive Wagons - very difficult to shoot as he never stops pogoing, jumping, moving or running round the stage.

He stopped to point at me when I had the 8mm manual focus fisheye on the 7d. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The second image from Tuesday was one of the headliners: The Dead Daisies. A modern super group, made up of members of some of the biggest rock bands of the 80's onwards: Whitesnake, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Journey. Some of the nicest blokes around - an acoustic set on the audience floor rather than the stage before the gig, singing their favourite songs from other acts, followed by a meet and greet. You'd like a selfie with me? Don't know how to take it? Let me do it for you. Here's a guitar pick, poster, do you want it signed? Hugs? When you think that some bands charge up to 1,000 for something like that - and it's a snap, grin, next I was really impressed with them. This photo isn't from the acoustic set or their main performance where I had 3 songs in the pit, this was from when I was allowed to keep shooting from the back of the room - stood have taken a stool, it's a problem when you're only 5 feet tall! It's actually a composite of two images - Doug (on the far left of the image) had turned away but I did have one where he was clear several shots before so over to the dreaded Photoshop and pop him in.

When I sent the pics to the agency, he picked out these two as favourites or, as he called them, the Queen shot and the pointy one.

Brilliant ! He had you banged to rights, Caz !

The fisheye created a superb image.

Thanks for your support. I started this thread way back on 22/11/2017 and it has generated 60,782 views. Sadly it seems to have now run its course and there has not been any new post since 25/11/2018. It created some activity and hopefully some enjoyment for those who took part. I'm now planning to do something similar which I hope you will also fine interesting. This forum unlike many other photographic forums has a gallery in which members have placed their images. Many of the members are no longer active here but there work remains in the gallery for us to view and appreciate. I intend to start a thread "All Our Yesterdays" in which I will select images from the gallery and comment on them. I do hope you too will join in and comment on what you think of the selected image. Watch this space.
Regards Ron. Live each day as if it was your last. One day you will be right.

                    That's a great idea.
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.
