A good idea, and well executed, Pat.

Wild flower growing on the drive, finally worked out that it's some sort of verbascum.

The conifers behind were boring and dark, so I darkened them some more then cloned out the rest. Taken with my walkaround Canon EOS-M with the 20mm lens.

That's very effective, Caz. I always think flowers look better against a dark, or black background.

Virgin : Heron quite content with the many trains heading to and from London at high speeds on this section.

My favourite image of the sunset last night: a 5 image HDR. I'd originally set out about 9.15p.m. with tripod, camera and various lenses - luckily this field isn't that far from me because I soon realised that as I've recently changed camera straps I hadn't got the tripod plate. Tried to wing it but realised that wasn't going to work, so hid the tripod in the long grass and legged it back to spend 10 minutes to find where I'd put the plate. Never did find it, but did find one on a 70-200 so back to the gate and another try. Took several (including an experiment with a manual focus fisheye) but this was my favourite

Just pipped me to the post as it were Garry.

I think the muted colours suit this image very well.

Always amazes me how light it is at this time of year with the extra hour, this was 11:00 PM. It was was light jumper weather.
I worked in Amsterdam in the late 1980's/ early 1990's(amongst other places) and still like to go back a couple of times a year.

                              Thanks for the comment.

Ooh! That is nice. (Always told not to use the word "nice" but those were my first thoughts!) I can't see the joins either - beautiful!
