Nice shot, great contraption. Beats the wheelie walker gizmo the physio is trying to teach me to use.
Wanna scooter eventually but that's way off as yet. Please come and get me with yours. Straight down the A26 and you know the name of the place where I'm currently incarcerated.
I'm known as the resident teenager here, Amazon's resident squanderer, keeping myself supplied with chocolate
Stay well, Shoppy, you're an inspiration.

Pol I would if I could but I'm restricted to 4 mph and I don't think I would survive the journey anyway. Chocolate has been banned of me after my last scrap with the Grim Reaper. I have to be a good boy from now on or he will be back and not take no for an answer.
Must say it's very nice to see you posting again and taking an interest in the forum. Keep it up now you have made a comeback. We need help here to get this forum ticking again.

      Where was this taken ?

Not in the UK surely ! Or was it in a Butterfly hot house ?

      Thanks for the thanks.

It was taken at Butterfly World St. Albans - now closed down unfortunately.

Just checking. Does this mean any image, not one necessarily taken recently, because not everyone is in a position to take daily photos, but probably have thousands of good ones that can be posted.

          Hi Audrey -

I have been raiding my album for entries from years past and I am hopeful I have not been naughty.

          Confirmation would be useful.

I hope you are getting around more nowadays.

          Regards. Barr1e

Naah, not naughty, Barrie. Yer giving me summat new to look at. Can't get outside at all myself just now unless pushed in a wheelchair, working at it though.

Re: My Image of the Day

That is my understanding as well, Autumn.
I am sure that Ron will confirm this. But most of my images are also stock photos.

Hi Guys and Dolls. Yes anything goes in this thread. I was going to title it "Show us again" but that would imply you have posted it before. I have loads of images on my hard drive and many have never been considered worthy of showing. Here is a chance to show just about any type of image you feel like sharing. Go for it, lets just see what you have been hiding.

It really is so easy and quick to use. What code can be used here in the reply box if you say we can post without uploading to the galleries.
The only thing I worry about with independent imaging hosting sites is that they might close without warning and leave the the forum with loads of empty image placeholders. Then there are sites like Photobucket that have stopped showing photos on independent sites. Flickr works well, I find. But I agree that PhotoPost we have been using here since the start of the forum is hard to use and is no longer supported or developed. On Four Thirds User I have upgraded the forum to version 4 and this necessitated a switch to a different gallery platform from Dragonbyte. However, it has fewer features than PhotoPost and some have had problems using it - which I'm investigating it.

This was taken last week at dusk, admittedly on my phone and then tweaked in Lightroom. Barr1e and Ann1e might recognise it as it's the cricket ground just across the way from what was the Kodak HQ in Hemel Hempstead. I was on my way home from the town centre and the scene was begging to be photographed

I have always had a penchant for low lit images. I like this.
